Say what you want about Mia Michaels’ ridiculously inflated ego (I know I do), but the woman deserves all of the praise she gets. The routine she put together for Twitch and Katee last night was amazing. I literally had to rewind it and watch it again immediately afterwards because I was so completely in awe of it. Talk about hot. The kiss. The dance-rage. All of it. Katee and Twitch committed 100% to their roles and even though the routine didn’t do much to really showcase their dancing abilities, it was still one of the most entertaining routines I’ve ever seen done on this show.
We’re at the point in the competition where there are so few dancers left that no one is safe. Case in point: Will and Twitch made the bottom two this week. Mark was safe, much to his own surprise. I didn’t want to see either of these guys go but was relieved nonetheless to see Joshua safe from elimination for another week. Of the girls, Katee and Chelsie were safe, leaving the bottom two spaces open for Courtney and Comfort.
Before we got to see which two dancers were eliminated, we were treated to an enchanting ballet routine and a lip-lickingly delicious performance by LL Cool J. His new album hits stores September 9th. The solos were all ok, though I wasn’t crazy about Will’s. In general though, I have to agree with my co-SYTYCD-recapper, Dustin regarding the solos. Unless they’re either really bad or exceptionally good, I could take them or leave them.
Elimination time. Comfort is eliminated, once again. She had a good second run but I’m not surprised that it’s over for her. As for Will and Twitch, it was hard to look at them standing there in front of Cat (who was sporting a 300-style look tonight) on the stage and try to guess which would go. Both are spectacular dancers but tonight marked the end of the SYTYCD road for Will. I’m sure he’ll have a great career in dance, regardless.
What did you think? Were you surprised to see Comfort or Will eliminated tonight?

I still can't believe that Mark is still there and Will is gone. I was really expecting Will and Twitch to be the last two guys, definitely not the bottom two this week.
At this point in the show, nothing surprises me. They always lose some of the best dancers in the last few rounds before the finals. Remember how upset some people where when Dominic outlasted much better dancers last year? But, as they have said many times on the show, the winner is America's *favorite* dancer...not necessarily the best dancer.
Last year, Danny was probably the best dancer (male or female), but in spite of all his talent, he didn't connect all that well with the audience. Will was probably the best male dancer left this year, but he obviously wasn't connecting all that well with the audience either. While the other guys seemed fairly modest and looked surprised at how far they'd come, Will came across as sort of cocky and acted like he expected to be there, and seeing him shirtless and flexing his muscles every week might have added to that impression.
Eliminating will is why these we stop watching these reality shows. by far he was the top 2 best dancers on the show. they should never let the public vote. they should leave i to the professionals. the public votes for the most popular and never for the one who deserves the win!!! its ridiculous!!!!
