The Sony VAIO RT High Definition Studio is fully intent on proving you can do video editing just as well on a PC platform as on a Mac. The beefy system features a 25.5-in display in 16:9 widescreen. The LCD screen itself has XBRITE-Full HD technology for a crisp picture. And then there’s the HDMI. Not only can you connect into the system via HDMI, but there’s an HDMI port for connecting yet another display up. Shazaam!
The included Blu-ray drive allows users to play, record and edit HD content at 1080p. And just in case you’re worried about space on the hard drive you’ll be getting 1 terabyte of memory. The Studio also comes with Intel Core 2 Quad processors and up to 8GB of RAM. Now for the sad news: you’ll be working in Vista. This rig is souped up enough that this last “problem” should be a minor one.
What would you pay for such a setup? Ten billion dollars? Twenty five gazillion? Lucky you Sony is unleashing the VAIO RT High Definition Studio for the moderately bank busting price of $3,300. You’ll be able to get your hands on one starting this fall.
