Ugly Betty’s Christopher Gorham is the latest to hop on The Ledge. As reported by THR, he’s joining Charlie Hunnam, Terrence Howard, Liv Tyler and Patrick Wilson in this Matthew Chapman written and directed suspense thriller.
The Ledge focuses on a guy (Hunnam) standing atop a high-rise building ledge adamant about taking the plunge by noon. A policeman (Howard) on the ground below works tirelessly to try and bring the situation under control. Gorham will play a television editor and the troubled man’s roommate. There’s something particularly intriguing about this simple premise. We’ve seen a number of films involving some guy or girl threatening to jump, but never an entire film about the perilous circumstance. I’m curious to hear the details of The Ledge. Why does this man want to end his life? Who are Tyler and Wilson playing?
Those answers will come in time, but at least for now we can revel in Gorham’s casting. Unless you’re a fan of Ugly Betty or his 2003 TV series Jake 2.0, odds are, you’ve never even noticed him. But the guy’s got some skills and deserves the chance to put them to use on the big screen.
